2019 Grants

The foundation gifted $317,357 in Clark and Cowlitz counties in 2019 in line with their vision & mission statement. Price Foundation Executive Director Kay Dalke-Sheadel presented grant checks to these organizations:


Ridgefield Public Schools Foundation

$7,500 To be used for 3 Scholarships, tuition and books.


Lower Columbia College Foundation


$17,368 To be used for 4 scholarships, tuition and fees.


Battle Ground Education Foundation


$10,000 To be used for Earn and Learn for at risk high school students.


Lower Columbia School Gardens


$10,000 To be used for eight-week After School Garden Club for 100 Students in Kelso/Longview Schools.


Yale Valley Library District


$25,000 To be used for construction of new library.


Children’s Discovery Museum


$4,400 To be used help fund new priority training program.


Clark College Foundation


$15,000 for scholarships and  $2,000 for Student emergency fund.


Youth and Family Link


$4,330 To help connect at-risk and in-need families to education and health services.


Cascadia Technical Academy


$10,000 To be used for Camp Cascadia at risk students.


Mount St. Helens Institute


$10,000 To be used for GeoGirls ‐ girls in science related.


Sunshine Physically Handicapped


$2,000 To be used for learning and recreational activities for disabled children.


Cowlitz County Lions Sight & Hearing Foundation


$5,000 To be used for sight and hearing services to low-income individuals in Cowlitz county.


Royal Ridges Retreat


$3,336 To be used to purchase three defibrillators for over 2000 campers.


Community Health Partners


$10,000 To be used for Free Dental Clinic for uninsured.


Shriners Hospital for Children


$15,000 To be used for funding hospital beds for Clark and Cowlitz county patients.


FISH of Vancouver


$10,000 To be used to help provide year round healthy protein and fresh produce at Westside Food Bank of Vancouver.


Salmon Creek Lions Club


$7,500 To be used for eye exam machine.


FISH of Cowlitz County


$10,000 To be used to assist in buying milk to provide protein and calcium for low income families in Cowlitz county.


Clark County Firefighters Assn.


$7,830 To be used to provide smoke alarms for the elderly and underprivileged homes.


Salmon Creek Hospital Foundation


$5,000 To be used for care management interventions and emergency support for low income and very low income patients.


PeaceHealth St John Foundation


$25,000 To be used to help improve the cardiac rehabilitation program at St John Medical Center.


Area Agency on Aging and Disabilities


$15,000 To be used for the Senior Oral Health Program.  The woman on the right is recipient of our 2018 grant.


Council for the Homeless


$10,000 To be used for help for housing for homeless people dealing with cancer.


Free Clinic of SW Washington


$6,200 To be used for medications to uninsured.


Columbia Springs


$8,000 To be used for assistance  in rebuilding viewing platforms, painting of Heron House and improvements to classrooms.


Camas-Washougal Historical Society


$5,000 To provide assistance with phases six through nine of the Gathering Place project.


Stella Historical Society


$6,858 To be used for exterior renovations to the blacksmith shop and post office.


Ft Vancouver Regional Library


$25,000 To be used for Woodland library construction.


Pomeroy Living History Farm


$10,000 To be used to assist in the renovation of the 1930’s barn on the working farm.


Lelooski Foundation


$10,000 To help purchase an additional portion of the original Lelooska property adjacent to the present location.


North County Historical Museum


$5,035 To be used for the promotion of the museum and for exhibit enhancement.
